Listening attentively is a skill that can be learned and practised by anyone. Being able to carry outside what human beings inquiry, and equally, giving instructions so that other human beings can know you, is a learned skill. And whether or not you are excellent at it can influence your reputation in the workplace from an idiot with a intellect like a sieve, to a diligent and consistently excellent worker, with all the perks associated.
