Procrastination is an investment in dread, resentment, guilt and so many other negative emotions. Procrastination is a self-defeating habit that we are unknowing nurturing by avoiding to do things that we oppose. By continuing to procrastinate, we are in a sense postponing our happiness. We are also postponing the achievement of our goals. When procrastinating, we are allowing doubts and fears to be magnified within our minds. Instead of moving forward and towards a resolution, we are moving away from happiness and satisfaction that we so extended to achieve. This type of investment is disempowering.
